SRX9787963: Double-digest genotype-by-sequencing of field and herbarium leaf tissue of Paubrasilia echinata
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 4000) run: 5.6M spots, 525.6M bases, 182.5Mb downloads

Design: Library preparation and sequencing was carried out by the institute of integrative biology and systems (IBIS) at the University of Laval, Canada, using a modified GBS approach with single end reads and two restriction enzymes: a rare cutting enzyme PstI (CTGCAG) and a common cutting enzyme MspI (CCGG) (Poland et al., 2012).

Study: Species delimitation and population dynamics of Paubrasilia echinata
show Abstracthide Abstract
1) Assess the population genetic structure of P. echinata by analysing a SNPs dataset generated by a double-digest GBS protocol (Elshire et al. 2011) from 38 samples of field collected and herbarium samples using various bioinformatics software;(2) Create and analyse a dataset of morphometric measurements from herbarium specimens from targeted loans, as well as digitized specimens;(3) Evaluate taxon limits by conducting multivariate analyses including genetic, morphological and ecological data to determine the extent to which different geno/morpho/ecotypes exist and should be formally recognised nomenclaturally.
